MEMBERSHIPS AND LINKS
ASFE (American Society of Foundation Engineers) is a not-for-profit trade
association of Member Firms that specialize in earth engineering and related
applied science services. Relying on a complement of some 65,000
individuals. ASFE Member Firms provide geoprofessional, environmental,
civil engineering, ecological, biological, archeological, infrastructure
security, brownfields revitalization, construction quality assurance, and other
important services essential to the well-being of society, now and in the
future.
BBB (Better Business Bureau) is an unbiased organization that sets and
upholds high standards for fair and honest business behavior. Businesses
that earn BBB accredited business status contractually agree and adhere to the
organization's high standards of ethical business behavior. BBB also
offers complaint and dispute resolution support for consumers and businesses when
there is a difference in viewpoints. The first BBB was founded in 1911.
Today, 128 BBBs serve communities across the U.S. and Canada, evaluating and
monitoring more than 3 million local and national businesses.
MBA of King and Snohomish
Counties (Master Builders Association, was founded in 1909 by a group of Seattle
builders who saw a need to unite to address the many concerns and issues
affecting the housing industry. They shared technology and jointly solved
construction problems. They actively worked with government to develop
laws that protected the environment while still providing attractive, affordable
communities and homes for the families of the Puget Sound region. The
homes and communities built by members of MBA are today among the most desirable
neighborhoods in which to live anywhere in the world.
AWB
(Association of Washington Business) is the oldest and most
influential business organization in Washington state and is recognized as
Washington's chamber of commerce. Providing a voice for business since
1904, our membership has grown to more than 6,700 members. Over the years,
the AWB membership has become one of the most effective and respected grassroots
forces in the state. When the Governor, Legislature, and state look for an
answer from business about an issue...they turn to AWB.
